Dr. Terry Chin
A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Terry Chin specializes in pediatric pulmonary and allergy care.
Dr. Terry Chin currently serves as the director of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology and the assistant director of Pediatric Pulmonary at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach. As a leading allergist in Southern California, he specializes in treating asthma, allergic diseases in children, anaphylaxis, cystic fibrosis, mastocytosis and immunodeficiency.
Dr. Chin achieved his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, before completing his postgraduate internship and residency training at the University of California, Irvine. From there, he completed his pediatric residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Chin then completed a fellowship in pediatric allergy and immunology at the University of California, Los Angeles and received a Ph.D. in viral immunology at Baylor University.
An active participant in the medical community, Dr. Terry Chin belongs to several prestigious professional organizations. He is a fellow of both the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American Thoracic Society and the Western Society of Pediatric Research. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital.
In addition to treating patients throughout Southern California and teaching medical students, residents and fellows, Dr. Chin has over 100 publications covering a wide range of medical topics in immunology, asthma, allergy and pediatric pulmonary disorders. He has also served in research review panels of several journals and national organizations.
